Founded in 1948 in the vibrant trading hub of Naya Bazaar, Delhi, our journey began with a simple vision: to bring the finest rice from India’s fertile lands to tables around the world. We meticulously source premium basmati and non-basmati rice from trusted Rice Mills across India, ensuring that only the highest-quality grains make their way to our state-of-the-art processing facility in Delhi. This facility is the heart of our operation, where we combine time-honored techniques with cutting-edge technology to clean, sort, and package our rice to exacting standards.

In 1948, Late Shri Ramji Dass Mongia started rice trading at Lahori Gate, Khari Baoli, Old Delhi, India. An expert in identifying the best quality rice along with an uncanny ability to sell, he expanded his business and reached par with the eminent Basmati rice suppliers in India, during his era.

Late Shri Ramji Dass Mongia passed on his genius to his son Mr. Rajinder Mongia, who accentuated his father’s vision of high-quality rice trading by establishing Sona Cereal Products Pvt. Ltd. and setting up a top-notch rice mill with the state-of-the-art facility at G T Karnal Road, New Delhi.

Mr. Rahul Mongia -(Director), Son of Mr. Rajinder Mongia, followed his father’s footsteps and persevered in the vision laid down by his grandfather of high-quality rice trading by obtaining a majority in the domestic market by supplying to more than seventy distributors all over India.

Amit Goel (Export Head) with his international marketing experience, made the company’s products available internationally to Qatar, Dubai, Kuwait, Saudi, Algeria, Belarus, Germany & Sri Lanka.

To produce the most sought-after varieties of Rice, Sona cereal has set up a state of the art plant having sound facilities for rice processing and packaging that ensures transition of paddy to packed rice, completely untouched by human hands. We are well-equipped with the latest machinery from the renowned manufacturers in Japan and have set up a sophisticated sortex plant armed with the hi-tech facilities that enable us in processing and serving the desired quality of rice to customers.
